The actor Ernst Albert Schaah was born as Albert Bernhard Hermann Ernst Schaaf in Halle an der Saale.

He became a stage actor at the end of the 10s but till to the 20s he only got roles sporadically.

His career as a movie actor was more successful, he impersonated many support roles from 1935.
To his well-known movies of the 30s belong „Regine“ (35), „Nur nicht weich werden, Susanne!“ (35), „Die Nacht mit dem Kaiser“ (36), „Der Hund von Baskerville“ (37), „Die Umwege des schönen Karl“ (38), „Der unmögliche Herr Pitt“ (38), „Der Fall Deruga“ (38), „Tanz auf dem Vulkan“ (38) and „Die Frau ohne Vergangenheit“ (39).

At the end of the 30s he became established at the theater too and he appeared on different stages in Berlin.

During World War II followed other movies with „Meine Tochter tut das nicht“ (40), „Herz geht vor Anker“ (40), „Leichte Muse“ (41), „G.P.U.“ (42), „Münchhausen“ (43) and „Ein schöner Tag“ (44).

Ernst Albert Schaah continued his stage career after the war and he was active again in Berlin.
He also acted again in front of the camera even though rarely.
To his last movies belong „Peter Voss, der Millionendieb“ (46) and „Postlagernd Turteltaube“ (52).
