Arthur Reinhardt

The actor Arthur Reinhardt trained as an actor at the theater in Kiel, but his career was initially interrupted by World War I, during which he served in the military.

After the war, he made his stage debut in 1919 and performed at various theaters across Germany.

He made his film debut in 1926, landing a small role in the cult classic “Metropolis” (26). This was followed by another silent film, “Three Days of Life and Death” (29).

Starting in 1931, he became a busy supporting actor in numerous productions.
These films include “The Man Who Committed the Murder” (31), “Thieves’ Honor” (33), “Salon Dora Green” (33), “The Four Musketeers” (34), “Heinz on the Moon” (34), “The Master of the World” (34), “The Girl Johanna” (35), “Night Watch in Paradise” (36), “The Divine Jette” (37), “The Indian Tomb” (37), “Water for Canitoga” (39), and “Twilight” (39).

In the 1940s, he successfully continued his film career, appearing in “Jud Süss” (40), “Carl Peters” (40), “The Road to Freedom” (41), “GPU” (42), “Dr. Crippen on Board” (42), and “A Happy Home” (44).

After the end of World War II, he appeared in only a few more films, such as “Quartet of Five” (1949), “Through Thick and Thin” (1951), and “Master of Life and Death” (1955).
