Bruno Rahn

The actor Bruno Rahn began his stage career in Memeln, in the next years followed engagements in Berlin and Meiningen.

During his time in Meiningen he founded his film company "Bruno-Rahn-Gilm GmbH" and he realised several movies as a producer, among them "Rosenfelix" (20) and "Die Nackt-Tänzerin" (20).

Before his film engagement in Meiningen he already realised some movies as a director in Berlin. To these works belong "Das verlorene Paradies" (17) and "Kain" (18).

After his time in Meiningen he returned to Berlin in 192. There he worked again at the theater and from 1926 he also realised again some movies as a director.
To his well-known movies of those years belong "Frauen, die den Weg verloren" (26), "Hölle der Liebe" (26), "Gern hab' ich die Frauen geküsst" (26), "Ehekonflikte" (27), "Kleinstadtsünder" (27) and especially "Dirnentragödie" (27) with Asta Nielsen in the leading role.

Besides his activity as a director and producer Bruno Rahn also appeared as an actor in front of the camera like "Zwei blaue Jungen" (17) and "Die Nackt-Tänzerin" (20).

Bruno Rahn also used the pseudonym Alfons Berthier. Shortly after the end of his last movie "Kleinstadtsünder" (27) Bruno Rahn, who suffered from a lung desease, died at the age of only 27.
