The actor Kurt Prenzel was primarily a boxer and fought as a middleweight. His active career ran from 1919 to 1930, during which time he fought 80 fights and won 60 of them, 55 by knockout.
He became German middleweight champion in 1919. At the end of the 1920s, he emigrated to the USA, where he also fought, mostly in Chicago. There, however, he was no longer able to build on his successes in Germany.

Kurt Prenzel was married to the actress Fern Andra for a few years from 1924. This led to his only film appearance in Carl Boese's “...und es lockt ein Ruf aus sündiger Welt” (25) with Fern Andra, Otto Gebühr and Loo Hardy.
