The actress Maria Meissner began her career at the theater where she impersonated numerous roles on different stages.
She joined the film business in 1931 and she impersonated support roles in the next years. To her productions belong "Der Herr Bürovorsteher" (31), "Theodor Körner" (32), "Herr Kobin geht auf Abenteuer" (34), "Liselotte von der Pfalz" (35) and "Inspektor Warren wird bemüht" (39).
During World War II she only appeared once in front of the camera for "Der Majoratsherr" (43).
She continued her career at the theater after the war, later she emigrated to the USA.
