Günther Krampf

The cinematographer Günther Krampf first studied at the Technische Hochschule in Vienna before he began his career as a cinematographer with "Die Lieblingsfrau des Maharadscha" (16).

He managed his breakthrough in the 20s and he filmed many well-known movies.
To his movies of those years belong "Die Legende von der heiligen Simplicia" (20), "Nosferatu" (22), "Ein Glas Wasser" (23), "Die Prinzessin Suwarin" (23), "Orlacs Hände" (24), "Das Mädchen mit der Protektion" (25), "Der Student von Prag" (26), "Grand Hotel...!" (27), "Schinderhannes" (28), "Die Büchse der Pandora" (29) and "Narkose" (29).

He continued his film career successfully in the 30s and he also began to work regular in England.
Th these productions belong "Alraune" (30), "Die letzte Kompagnie" (30), "Cyankali" (30), "The Outsider" (31), "Der brave Sünder" (31), "Kuhle Wampe oder: Wem gehört die Welt?" (32), "Rome Express" (32), "The Ghoul" (33), "Das Mädchen Johanna" (35), "The Thunnel" (35), "The Outsider" (39) and "Black Eyes" (39).

Günther Krampf worked till to his premature death in 1950 and to his last cinematical works belong "Convoy" (40), "The Night Have Eyes" (42), "Sabotage at Sea" (42), "Bon Voyage" (44), "Meet Me at Dawn" (47), "Tinker" (49) and "The Franchise Affair" (51).
