The actress Maria von Hösslin made her screen debut in 1940 with „Donauschiffer“ (40) as cook Lanutza at the side of Hilde Krahl, Attila Hörbiger, Oskar Sima, Tibor Halmay and Ady Berber.

Afterwards followed other productions with Helmut Käutner's „Wir machen Musik“ (42) as Peter's bride with Ilse Werner, Viktor de Kowa, Grethe Weiser, Georg Thomalla and Rolf Weih, playing the role of a handmaid in „Meine Freundin Josefine“ (42) directed by Hans H. Zerlett with Hilde Krahl, Paul Hubschmid, Fita Benkhoff, Hans Leibelt, Olga Limburg and Wilfried Seyferth, as Pia „Gabriele Dambrone“ (43) directed by Hans Steinhoff with Gusti Huber, Siegfried Breuer, Christl Mardayn, Ewald Balser, Eugen Klöpfer, Theodor Loos, Fritz Kampers and Annie Rosar as well as Wolfgang Liebeneiner's „Das Leben geht weiter“ (45) at the side of Gustav Knuth, Hilde Krahl, Marianne Hoppe, Viktor de Kowa, Heinrich George, Friedrich Kayssler and Willy Fritsch.

She only took part in few more movies after World War II like Wolfgang Liebeneiner's „Das Tor zum Frieden“ (51) as Moosbäuerin with Paul Hartmann, Vilma Degischer, Ida Krottendorf, Walter Ladengast and Hilde Krahl and finally „Du bist die Richtige“ (55) with Curd Jürgens, Antje Weisgerber, Elma Karlowa, Hans Holt and Annie Rosar.
