Minna Höcker-Behrens

The actress Minna Höcker-Behrens was primarily active as a stage actress.
 
She made her theater debut in Stettin in 1888, followed by engagements in Karlsruhe, Leipzig, Meiningen, Munich and Berlin. At the end of the 1900s, an engagement also took her to Milwaukee in the USA.
 
She already appeared in movies in the first years of the still new medium in “Medea” (11).
But it lasted till to the 30's before she had again few cinematical appearances in front of the camera.
To these productions belong “Wenn dem Esel zu wohl ist” (32), “Eine Frau wie du” (32), “Peer Gynt” (34), “Um das Menschenrecht” (34) and “Die Bombenidee” (37).
 
Her son Oskar Höcker also became an actor.
