Lucie Euler

The actress Lucie Euler began her career at the theater in Wiesbaden. It soon followed international engagements in London and Philadelphia.

When she returned to Germany she was able to gain a foothold in Berlin where she became established as a stage actress.

She already took part in her first movie in 1916 with "Die Petroleumquelle" (16) but her real film career came with the rise of the soundfilm in 1930 into being.
In the 30s she impersonated numerous support roles in popular movies. To these works belong "Dolly macht Karriere" (30), Alfred Hitchcock's "Mary" (31), "Ich heirate meinen Mann" (31), "Der verlorene Sohn" (34) with Luis Trenker, "Die selige Exzellenz" (35), "Moral" (36), "Donner, Blitz und Sonnenschein" (36) with Karl Valentin and Liesl Karlstadt, "Die Austernlilli" (37) and "Nanon" (38).

She continued her film career during World War II with "Die Frau ohne Vergangenheit" (39), "Der Sündenbock" (40) and "Hab mich lieb" (42).

She only appeared one more time in front of the camera after the war for "Der fröhliche Weinberg" (52).
