The actor Alexander Ekert launched a film career in 1919 which lasted only few years.

Already in his first year he took part in numerous productions, among them "Im Schatten des Geldes" (19), "Tropenblut" (19), "Pogrom" (19), "Mein Wille ist Gesetz" (19) and the big production "Madame DuBarry" (19) playing Paillet.

Afterwards he continued his film career with other popular movies like "Die Herrin der Welt, 8. Teil: Die Rache der Maud Fergusson" (20), "Johann Baptiste Lingg" (20), "Die Fürstin Worozoff" (20), "Katharina die Grosse" (20), "Ferréol" (20) and the posthumous released "Exzellenz Unterrock" (21).

Alexander Ekert died at the age of only 45 in 1920.
