Gerhard T. Buchholz

The screenwriter, painter and director Gerhard T. Buchholz first studied art at the Kunstakademie in Königsberg and after a successful exam he began his artistic career as a stage designer at the theater Königsberg.

He dedicated to the writing in the 30s and from 1937 he also wrote screenplays for movies.
To his movies till the end of World War II belong „Die Stimme des Herzens“ (37), „Konzert in Tirol“ (38), „Adresse unbekannt“ (38), „Der Hampelmann“ (38), „Die Rothschilds“ (40), „Stimme des Herzens“ (42) and „Die Zaubergeige“ (44).

He continued his career as a screenwriter after the war with „Amico“ (49), „0 Uhr 15, Zimmer 9“ (50), „Postlagernd Turteltaube“ (52), „Weg ohne Umkehr“ (53) and „Durchbruch Lok 234“ (63).

Beside it he also produced few movies and he directed the movies „Amico“ (49) and „Postlagernd Turteltaube“ (52).
