Joseph LoDuca begann seine musikalische Laufbahn beim Jazz und tourte
in den kommenden Jahren an verschiedenen Jazzfestivals in Europa.
Beim Film landete er, als ihn der Regisseur Sam Raimi für die
Produktion "The Evil Dead" (81) engagierte, um die Musik zu schreiben.
Daraus entstand eine langjährige Freundschaft und Joseph LoDuca vertonte
auch weitere Filme von Sam Raimi.
Die Arbeit gefiel Joseph LoDuca derart gut, dass er sich fortan auf
die Filmmusik konzentrierte und zu einem begehrten Komponisten avancierte,
der häufig auch für eher düsterere Filme herangezogen wurde.
Zun seinen weiteren Kompositionen gehören die Filme "The Carrier"
(88), Moontrap" (89), "Army of Darkness" (92), "Messenger" (94), die Serie
"Hercules: The Legendary Journeys" (95-99), die Serie "Xena: Warrior Princess"

Zu seinen jüngsten filmischen Arbeiten zählen "Le pacte

Zu seinen zahlreichen Auszeichnungen gehören ein Emmy Award
plus acht weitere Nominationen sowie eine Nomination für einen César
für die beste Filmmusik.
