The director Mano Ziffer-Teschenbruck was born as Emanuel Ziffer Edler von Teschenbruck in Gura Humora.
He began his professional career as a painter before he finished his study for natural science and worked as a chemist and engineer.
He realised his first movie as a director in 1912 with "Carmen lernt Skifahren" (20), it followed other movies as a director with "Die Sünde der Inge Lars" (22), "Parema - Das Wesen aus der Sternenwelt" (22), "Die Menschen nennen es Liebe..." (22) and "Die gelbe Gefahr" (22).
In all his movies the leading roles was impersonated by his wife, the actress Carmen Cartellieri.
Afterwards Mano Ziffer-Teschenbruck retired from the film business and dedicated to inventions and enhancements.
Among others he worked at a method in the color photography with X-rays and other chemical experiments and developments.
