1902 - 1979
The costume designer Aenne Willkomm was only active in the film business for few years but she was part of some of the most important productions in those years.
Together with Heinrich Umlauff she was responsible for the costumes for Fritz Lang's "Die Nibelungen: Siegfried" (24). In the same year she alse created the costumes for "Mein Leopold" (24).
Thank to the success of "Die Nibelungen" the director Fritz Lang engaged her again, this time for the cult movie "Metropolis" (27). For this production she was responsible for the costumes of the leading actress Brigitte Helm and she was able to set an importance course.
Afterwards she only designed the costumes for few more movies - "Schwester Veronica" (27) and "Der Katzensteg" (27).
Finally she retired from the film business and she got married with the famous production designer Erich Kettelhut.
