Leo Uhl

The actor and singer Leo Uhl made first artistic experiences with a touring company which led him to many Austrian cities.

In Vienna he was able to become established as a stage actor and singer and he was very successful in the next years.
Later he became the director of the "Neues Orpheum" in Vienna.

Because of his huge popularity he was also engaged for few movies in the 20s.

His first appearance in front of the camera was for the movie "Könige des Humors" (22) with Gustav Werner, Mizzi Zwerenz and Turl Wiener.

Four years later followed his second and last movie "Die unsterbliche Theresa" (26) at the side of Poldi Prohaska and Eugene Fischer. He was also a co-director for this movie together with Karl Peterson.
