Otto Stenzel

The filmcomposer Otto Stenzel began his career as a musician for a dance orchestra in Berlin where he played during the 20s.

He came in touch with the film business in 1926 when he took over the function of a cinema bandmaster.

In the next years he wrote the music for several movies, among them "Gräfin Plättmamsell" (26), "Einbruch" (27), "Die schönsten Beine von Berlin" (27), "Die Vorbestraten" (27), "Die Vierte von rechts" (29), "Mascottchen" (29) and "Tagebuch einer Verlorenen" (29).

He wrote his last scores for movies in 1930 with "Menschen am Sonntag" (30) and "Die heiligen drei Brunnen" (30).

Afterwards he concentrated to the conduct of the theater orchestra for the Scala in Berlin and he recorded several records.
