The actor Armin Seydelmann was born into an artistic family, his grandfather was the theater actor Karl Seydelmann.

He began his career at the theater as well and he made his stage debut at the Hoftheater in Coburg-Gotha in 1894. He continues his stage career in the next years and he appeared on numerous stages, first in Germany and from 1907 also in Austria at the Viennese Burgtheater. There he remained till to his retirement.

The impressive actor was also engaged for several movies but his appearances in front of the camera were limited to the silent movie era.
He impersonated his first movie role in "Durch die Quartiere des Elends und des Verbrechens" (19), it followed the productions "Der Teufelsschlosser" (19) and "Adrian Vanderstraaten" (19).

His busiest time in the film business followed in the 20s and he took part in movies like "Der Graf von Cagliostro" (20), "Der galante König - August der Starke" (20), "Die Totenhand" (21), "Meriota, die Tänzerin" (22), "Knock-out!" (23), "Die Stadt ohne Juden" (24) and "Ein Walzer von Strauss" (25).
He often played roles of reputable characters of the sophisticated society.
