The actress Lea Seidl was born as Caroline Mayrseidl in Vienna.

When she became an established stage actress she also took part in few German film productions like "Er ist Dein Bruder" (23) with Max Neumann and Karl Falkenberg and "Der Tänzer meiner Frau" (25) directed by Alexander Korda with Victor Varconi, Maria Corda, Willy Fritsch, Marlene Dietrich and Hans Junkermann. In this movie she played the character Ivonne Trieux.

Lea Seidl emigrated to England in later years where she was able to continue her artistic career und where she also impersonated support roles in some movies.
To these productions belong "Candlelight in Algeria" (44) with James Mason, "The Woman's Angle" (52) with Lois Maxwell and John Bentley, the American production "War and Peace" (56) playing Countess Rostov with Audrey Hepburn, Henry Fonda, Mel Ferrer, Anita Ekberg and Herbert Lom as well as "Wernher von Braun" (60) as Baroness von Braun with Curd Jürgens, Herbert Lom and Adrian Hoven.

To her last cinematical works belong "Great Catherine"  (68) with Peter O'Toole, Jeanne Moreau and Zero Mostel and an episode of the serial "Graf Yoster gibt sich die Ehre: Die Erbschaft" (70) with Lukas Ammann and Wolfgang Völz.
