Franz R. Riedl

The filmcomposer Franz R. Riedl entered the film business in 1934 and in the next years he wrote the music for short movies and documentaries like "Von Königsberg bis Berchtesgaden" (34), "Besuch im Karzer" (34), "Spreehafen Berlin" (37) and "Rätsel der Urwaldhölle" (38) but also numerous feature movies, among them "Schloss Hubertus" (34), "Die Heilige und ihr Narr" (35), "Kater Lampe" (36), "Annemarie" (36) and "Das Ekel" (39).

During World War II Franz R. Riedl did only write the music for short movies and documentaries, among them the notorious hate documentary "Der ewige Jude" (40) as well as "Kampf um Norwegen" (40), "Geheimnisvolle Moorwelt" (42) and "Volksleben am Rande der Sahara" (43).

Franz R. Riedl was able to continue his career as a filmcomposer after the war and he wrote the music to movies like "Ruf an das Gewissen" (49), "Es geht nicht ohne Gisela" (51) and "Kanaillen" (58).
