Raffles Bill

The actor Raffles Bill was born as Andreas Aglassinger.

He impersonated some support roles for the film business of the 30s, among them as an artist in "Grock" (31) directed by Carl Boese with Grock, Liane Haid, Betty Bird and Harry Hardt, Reinhold Schünzel's classic "Viktor und Viktoria" (33) at the side of Renate Müller, Hermann Thimig, Hilde Hildebrand, Fritz Odemar and Adolf Wohlbrück, "Die Reiter von Deutsch-Ostafrika" (34) directed by Herbert Selpin with "Sepp Rist, Ilse Stobrawa, Peter Voss and Louis Brody, "Königstiger" (35) with Hans Junkermann, Charlotte Susa, Ivan Petrovich, Paul Heidemann, Else Elster and Hubert von Meyerinck, Fred Sauer's "Mädchenräuber" (36) with Harald Madsen, Carl Schenström, F.W. Schröder-Schrom, Eugen Rex, Paul Westermeier and Trude Hesterberg, "Monika" (38) with Maria Andergast, Ivan Petrovich, Theodor Loos, Willi Schaeffers, Rudolf Platte and Julia Serda and "Menschen, Tiere, Sensationen" (38) directed by Harry Piel with Harry Piel, Ruth Eweler, Elisabeth Wendt, Willi Schur and Eugen Rex.

His last movie came in 1940 into being with Hans Deppe's "Der Sündenbock" (40) with Hilde Körber, Fritz Odemar, Norbert Rohringer, Karl Hellmer, Ernst Waldow, Margaret Kupfer and Grete Reinwald.

Shortly afterwards he died at the age of only 44 because of stomach haemorrhage.
