The actor Albert Matterstock belonged to the successful young actors from the middle of the 30's who conquered the heart of the audience with entertainment movies.
To his first movies belong "Serenade" (37), "Gastspiel im Paradies"
(38), "Lauter Lügen" (38) and "Ein ganzer Kerl" (39).
He wasn't able to go on from his earlier successes after the war. To his few post-war movies belong "Schuss um Mitternacht" (49) and "Drei Birken auf der Heide" (56).
Albert Matterstock died in 1960 at the age of 49 as a result of his
addiction to morphine.
