The actress Ruth Lommel took acting lessons by Eleonore Ehm and made her first stage experiences at variety theaters and cabarets in Berlin.
She made her film debut in 1939 with "Drunter und drüber" and started
with it an intensive film career which lasted till the end of the war.
Ruth Lommel continued her career after the war and appeared in movies till the end of the 50's. To her last cinematical works belong "Die seltsamen Abenteuer des Herrn Fridolin B." (48), "Die Mädels vom Immenhof" (55), "Jägerblut" (57) and "Der Maulkorb" (58).
Her brother Ulli Lommel became also a well-known actor and her father Ludwig Manfred Lommel was a popular comedian and actor.
