The actor Hermann Leffler was already very successful on stages for many years when he entered the medium film in 1920. In the next years he took part in well-known productions.
He made his film debut in 1920 with "Die Stimme" at Albert Bassermann's side. It followed movies like "Dämonische Treue" (21), "Der Leidensweg der Inge Krafft" (21), Harry Piel's "Menschen und Masken" (23), the literature filming "Zur Chronik von Grieshuus" (25) and "Der goldene Schmetterling" (26) directed by Michael Curtiz who became world famous in later years.
Hermann Leffler was married with the actress Martha Leffler-Burckhard
(1865-1954). His brother was the well-known actor Robert Leffler.
