The actress Ilona Karolewna was able to launch a brief film career from 1926 which was limited to few movies.

Her first movie was "Haifische der Nachkriegszeit" (26) with Vera Voronina and a then unknown Oskar Sima. Afterwards she played the role of Isabella Batista in "Der schwarze Pierrot" (26) directed by and with Harry Piel, Dary Holm, Albert Paulig and Heinrich Peer.

In the following year came already her last silent movies into being.
As Rose Jackson she took part in "Was ist los im Zirkus Beely?" (27). To her film partners belonged Harry Piel, Eugen Burg, Fritz Greiner and Erich Kaiser-Titz.
In Franz Osten's "Die Villa im Tiergarten" she impersonated the character of Häslein at the side of Joe Stöckel, Aud Egede-Nissen and Hans Albers.

After a longer interruption she appeared in her only talky in 1932 called "Camp volant/Marco, der Clown" (32) with Lissi Arna, Thomy Bourdelle, Ivan Koval-Samborsky and Meg Lemonnier.
