Grit van Elben

The actress Grit van Elben was born as Gertrud Philippine Marie Nebel. Later she was also known as Gritine von Mautner-Markhof and Gritine Nebel von Vidulovic.

She joined the film business in 1929 and she acted in „Die Jugend am Scheideweg“ (29).

Her last cinematical works came in the sound film era of the 30s into being.
To these productions belong „Die Wasserteufel von Hieflau“ (32), „Die Fahrt in die Jugend“ (35), „Leutnant Bobby, der Teufelskerl“ (35) and „Fräulein Lilli“ (36).

Her sister Ina van Elben was also an actress.
